Banquet Associate

Position Summary Benefits Supplemental Questions
Primary duties involve greeting event guests, serving food, assisting guests, assist in maintaining backroom, set up and tear down. This position works flexible hours, weekdays/weekends with varying hours, as needed based on event schedule. This is a part-time as needed position.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must maintain good personal hygiene/uniform, multitasking skills and have good dexterity. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
This position requires the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Greets guests and provides any assistance to ensure exceptional customer service. This includes paying attention to details.
Serves meals or directs to buffet line. Clears plates promptly. Keeps drinks fresh and filled for customers. Serves dessert.
Assists with dishwashing and trash removal.
Ensures sufficient supplies are readily available. This includes restocking of drink supplies, polishing silverware, preparing table settings for future events, and other condiments as needed.
Maintains backroom including appropriate cleaning.
Sets up and tears down tables and chairs to fit banquet floor plans. Cleans room as appropriate and ensures the facility is ready to go for the next event.
Completes other duties as assigned.

Required Education and/or Work Experience:?High school diploma or GED preferred;
One to two years related experience and/or training preferred, or
Equivalent combination of education and experience

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
