Service Technician
Location(s): Fremont, OH
Reports To: Store Manager
Compensation: $13 - $18 per Hour

JAM Best One Fleet Service is hiring additional Service Technicians in each of our (3) Michigan locations. The main function of the Service Technician is to diagnose and repair commercial trucks and trailers. Due to the nature of our business, the Service Technician can also expect to mount/dismount/install and repair tires, perform automotive mechanical services and assist in other projects on an as needed basis.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:

Maintain a clean and safe work environment; to include the shop and company vehicles.
Diagnoses and repairs brakes, electrical problems, air-lines, suspensions, etc.
Performs all aspects of trailer repairs.
Completes work orders on equipment repair.
Works closely with other Service Technicians and assists with repairs.
Conducts final inspection of equipment prior to release to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
24-Hour Emergency Road Service (Rotating Schedule)
Requirements
Mental Effort, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities.
Ability to trouble shoot electrical, mechanical, diesel engine problems.
Mechanic must have their own tools.
Ability to understand necessary safety procedures and precautions.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Intermediate knowledge of hand tools/power tools.
Ability to travel to off-site locations for repair.
Ability to be on call.
Physical Effort:
Ability to lift and carry approximately 80 pounds
Ability to sit, stand, slouch or lie for extended periods
Ability to work safely around heavy machinery and heavy equipment
Ability to hold air impact tools up to 30 lbs.

Recommended Training/Education:
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Auto Mechanic
Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic
Class A CDL a plus
ASE Certifications a plusEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
