Position
Summary:
The Night Security position is responsible for the security of all retreatants who are occupying the Retreat Center building overnight.
As a contingent position, this ministry is on an as-needed basis; while a certain number of hours per week cannot be guaranteed, one to two shifts per week is likely.

While shifts are primarily weekends, there is the possibility of being scheduled during the week.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Maintain the safety of retreatants who occupy the Retreat Center, being mindful of the retreat environment Monitor and respond to alarm systems using appropriate procedures and instructions Communicate any emergency situations to the Executive Director and/or the Maintenance Specialist.
Report any necessary maintenance repairs to the Maintenance Specialist Check and secure the retreat center on a regular basis Be available to retreatants for emergency situations, and to emergency personnel should the need arise Monitor incoming phone calls as needed; communicate necessary messages to guests and/or staff Complete light janitorial duties as needed Lock and unlock outside doors at appropriate times Participate in the hospitality ministry of the Retreat Center Attend all required staff meetings Support fundraising and fund development Perform all other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or her assigned designee Maintain strict confidentiality of all designated information and documents Adhere to all
Qualifications:
Ability to calmly handle emergency situations in an appropriate manner Ability to follow emergency procedures and instruct guests in order to ensure safety Ability to work independently Good communication skills High school diploma or GED equivalent; Security or safety experience preferred Ability to effectively represent OLPRC internally and within the larger community Capacity for adhering to all policies contained in the Employee Handbook and all policies directed by the Board of Trustees Job Type:
